A Christian psychologist on the Hibiscus Coast.
You searched for a Christian psychologist, and that's what you'll find here. I'm Brendan Vorster, a registered psychologist, in person on the Hibiscus Coast and the North Shore, and online anywhere in New Zealand.
My faith shapes how I see people and how I work with them. Psychology is a gift God has given us, and I use it with proper training, evidence-based approaches and the standards of a registered psychologist. How much faith comes into our conversations is yours to decide: pray, think a decision through in the light of Scripture, or simply have a psychologist who understands your world and won't treat your faith as a problem to be managed. People of no faith are just as welcome.
People bring anxiety that won't settle, grief, a marriage under strain, a separation, a job lost, or a calling they're trying to hear clearly. And sometimes something quieter: you've been strong for everyone else and you'd like to feel like yourself again.
Where
The Hibiscus Coast, Albany on the North Shore, or online anywhere in New Zealand. English or Afrikaans. Fees.
Common questions
Do I have to be a Christian to see you? No. Many of my clients aren't. Your beliefs are respected either way, and faith only comes into the work if you want it to.
Will you pray with me? If you'd like that, yes. If you wouldn't, we won't. You set that dial.
Is what I say confidential? Yes. I don't report back to your church, your family or anyone else, apart from the narrow exceptions the law requires, which I explain in our first conversation.
Do you work with couples or young people? Yes to couples. From 16 you can see me in your own right; under 16, I'll point you to the right person.
